In 1997, at the age of 30, I had been maintaining my ideal weight of 143lbs for three years. I looked good and felt good, too.

And then I got pregnant.

Although I had a miscarriage in my first trimester, I had gained 15lbs and so started my normal program of dieting and exercise to lose those extra pounds.

But something was different. Instead of losing weight, I kept gaining.

Year after frustrating year, the pounds kept adding on.

My thyroid kept checking out OK. I was eating the same amount I ate when I was 143lbs. What was going on? Was this what happens with age?

After 13 years and 109lbs, I knew I needed to do something different. Traditional weight loss methods just weren’t working for me. And at 43, I wasn’t getting any younger.

That’s when I discovered Marilyn Jenett’s “I Create My Body” program.

I’ll admit I was a little skeptical, but I listened to the the radio interview she posted on the program’s sales page and it resonated with me. So I got the program and gave it a try.

Within only a few weeks I already noticed a difference. My food cravings had changed … I actually started craving carrot sticks! Also, I my desire to exercise was re-invigorated. These subtle (or not so subtle) changes started to change my body. Within three months of starting the program, I had lost 20lbs … without even feeling like I was trying!

So I started this blog to help me document the remaining 89 pounds I was losing.
